Webb Middle School received Recognized status from the Texas Education Agency for the 5th consecutive school year.
Physical Education Dress Code

No logos unless it is a Webb shirt! Last name must be on the outside back of shirt.
Shoes & Socks
Some type of athletic shoe with non-marking soles. All shoes must be laced and tied correctly. No ballet, sandals, cleats, open toe or open back shoes.
Socks must be worn with shoes.
Volleyball
The Webb Lady Bears will be conducting tryouts for the 7th and 8th Grade volleyball teams August 25th and 26th. The 7th Grade tryouts will begin promptly both days at 7:15 a.m. and will conclude at approximately 8:15 a.m. in the competition gym. The 8th Grade tryouts will begin at 4 p.m. and run until approximately 5:30 p.m. in the competition gym. Please remember that these young ladies can not tryout without a physical conducted by a physician after May 1, 2010. Physical packets can be picked up in the front office here at Webb Middle School. As always, thank you for your support of Lady Bears Athletics and we look forward to another great season.
First Day of School
The first day of school is Monday, August 23, 2010. All 6th grade students will report to the cafeteria, all 7th grade students will report to the competition gym, and all 8th grade students will report to the P.E. gym at 8:00 a.m. to pick up their class schedules.
Back to School Dance
Our annual "Back to School" dance and social will be Friday afternoon, September 3rd from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The price will be $3.00.
Meet the Teacher
Meet the Teacher Night will be Monday evening, September 20th at 6:30 p.m. You will follow your students schedules of going to each class for approximately 10 minutes. Be sure and be prompt as the 1st period bell will ring at 6:30 p.m.
2010-2011 7th Grade Summer Reading
All incoming 7th graders will be required to read a novel over the summer.

The first week of school's lesson plans will be focusing on these novels. Paperback books can be found at Half Price Books and other discounted locations.
Standardized Dress
Remember that we are a "Standardized Dress" school. Polo shirts are red, navy or white (no logo) with pants being khaki or navy. Mesh or clear plastic book bags may be brought to school but must be kept in the student's locker during the day. Notice
We are no longer able to sign students out of the building after 3:30p.m. unless it is an extreme emergency. We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you. Some GISD policies have changed and the time will not permit our office to sign students out after 3:30p.m.
